Serving Jesus, No Questions Asked

Hey Friends,

Jesse and Marissa here wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

Have you guys watched the viral video of the man drinking cranberry juice on his skateboard? He got millions of views, followers, and likes in a short amount of time. As his fame grew, we got to know a little more about him on his platforms. We learned that he didn't have a working car, and that's why he was riding his skateboard to work. He was living in a trailer with no running water or electricity with two teenage daughters. There was a need, and the world watching saw it. Quickly he received $15,000 in donations to help him put a down payment down on a house. He received new trucks, new shoes, sponsorships, and so much more. This man was given a second chance because people poured into his life just because there was a need. No one stopped to say, "Ok, I'll give you this, but what are your plans? You better do right!" They simply saw an opportunity to serve and let the rest work out.

Jesus invites us to do that very thing. He calls us to serve those around us without questions and let Him work the rest out. Many people have not been fortunate this year financially and even emotionally. What a great time to go out of your way to bless someone before consuming this season. We have to understand that it's not about us being served but about us serving, just as Pastor Dre said. We have a social responsibility to find those with a burdened heart and love on them with the love of Jesus.
We challenge you simply to give to those around you. It can be your time, it can be a monetary gift, it can be an act of kindness. Before you make your list of gifts you want, think of someone who would find joy in receiving instead. Are you seeking to serve like Jesus? Are you fulfilling your duties as a follower of Christ? Let's serve others and rejoice while reflecting on the gospel. Share with us how you have been encouraged as you served others this week! We cant wait to hear about it!

Love you all,
Jesse and Marissa
