Steward The Day Well

Livestream Preview

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been discussing what it means for us to be effective and fruitful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ while examining what it means for us to be passionately committed to Christ, Biblically measured, and morally pure. This week's message is on good stewardship. Today we want to encourage you to steward this day well as you love the Lord your God with all of your heart, mind, soul, and strength, love your neighbor as yourself, and participate in the father’s plan by making disciples.

Not only do we want to steward this day well, but we also want to share with you ways we can do that. First and foremost, we steward our relationship with God the Father. Don’t just rush through the day without slowing down and practicing silence and solitude. As we begin the day, make sure to slow down and spend time with God, in order to connect with Christ, experience God, and do what He has for us this day.

Next, we want to make sure we are loving ourselves. A bad image of self (not realizing we are made in the image of God) will greatly hinder us from loving others. If we are going to steward this day well while being effective and fruitful followers of Christ, we have to love ourselves. If you’re going to be a good steward, you have to love yourself. How are we ever going to love our neighbor as ourselves if we don’t love ourselves?

Finally, we need to love people well. This includes our friends, families, spouses, children, and beyond. In doing so, we’re fulfilling the second commandment of loving our neighbors as ourselves.

What are some ways we can steward this day well? Let us know in the comments.
