Dig Deep
Hey friends,
We hope you had a great weekend! We just finished fall break and already can't wait till Thanksgiving break. I know it's not just us, right? I hope as you rested, you took the time to listen to the message with Pastor Dre, Alexis, and Christian.
Let's continue the conversation about doubt. Last time I checked, all of us wrestle with doubt and are in good company in Scripture: Peter, Thomas, Mary Magdalene, and basically every other disciple. They left their uncertainty on display for all of us through the gospels. This is a safe place for us to explore what it looks like to be a believer who is a doubter as well. We all have very real questions about God, scripture, and the Holy Spirit. Adults can often respond to our questions with "Just have faith" or "pray about it," which can be frustrating when we already doubt if that will even work.
We want to encourage you to ask the questions. Dig, question, research, and read. We want you to know that it's okay to doubt. We like how Pastor Dre put it, "It's ok to doubt because doubt pushes us towards discovery, and discovery is ultimately what progresses our belief." In other words, it propels you to the next step in your faith, as Alexis said. So doubt can be a good thing. We just can't get stuck in our doubt without moving towards a different place of belief.
This week we challenge you to grapple with your doubts. God wants to hear your thoughts and struggles. Remember, we were made for relationship with Him, and in relationships, conversations are key! Reach out to your Student Leads if you have questions or DM us on Insta. We are right behind you as you dig deep!
We love you
