Get Ready

Hey friends!

I hope everyone is having a great start to their week! It's almost winter break time, and things are moving fast. It's definitely that time of year where we are busy and sometimes overwhelmed. This weekend at the Students Meetup, we talked about making time for what matters. What matters most to set us up for a great week is listening to the message and moving in our purpose.

Pastor Dre also talked about us being on mission in our everyday life. Why is it so hard keeping Jesus at the forefront in all we do? As we hang out with friends, go shopping, celebrate the holidays, we have the perfect opportunities to share what we believe in. I'm not saying stop the party and pull out your bible. I'm saying when you're having a conversation, share your testimony. When you hear someone struggling, offer to pray for them either later or with them. When you are enjoying yourself in the company of friends, share with them that you're grateful for them. It's your time to be a light. People will wonder how you keep peace and joy in a stressful, busy time.

We invite you to let Christ shine through you and not miss any opportunities to share the gospel. Make sure you set the alarm for yourself to listen to the message to help guide your week. We can pour into others out of an empty cup or from ourselves. Fill yourself and others up from the overflow you receive from God. As we walk into the new year, let's walk in with some new habits and stand firmly on the solid rock we know.

We love you and are praying for opportunities to show up where you can share about the God we know.

Jesse and Marissa
