Wake Up Call
Hey friends,
We pray you had a fun and safe weekend. We had a busy weekend with much on our to-do list. I genuinely enjoy turning my alarms off on Friday evening and waking up instead to Jesse making coffee or breakfast. This weekend I asked Jesse to wake me up early so I could get started on my day. I had to fully trust he would come thru and wake me up and not oversleep either. Yes, I could have put my alarms on, too, but that clearly tells him I don't believe he will do what he says he will do. So I trusted, and my wake-up call CAME THRU! I was up and done with multiple loads of laundry before lunch. A WIN!
When we look at the scripture, it says not in some of your ways but in all of your ways acknowledge Him and will make your paths straight. Meaning trust God with everything, and He will come thru. God wants to show up and have you rely on Him, just like Jesse enjoys when I rely on him. It's so tempting to trust Him with some of our hearts and not all. When we have a hand in stuff, we have a tangible safety rather than this blind trust and faith when we step out of it and let God be God. God is speaking to you now, and it's time to WAKE UP!
Pastor Dre encourages us to have trust one day at a time. Don’t take on the task of having this forever unwavering lifetime of faith. You'll set yourself up because we are human, and sometimes, we don't have that faith. Sometimes the hurt is so big, the panic is so big, the questions feel so big that we stumble. Take it day by day and trust Him. Pastor also says, "Let's not ask God to prove Himself first so we can trust Him. Let's trust Him first so that we can watch Him work. We wanna treat God the way we treat people. We gotta stop that.”.
This week we encourage you to take your little or big faith and trust God to be who He says He is. Let's respond to the things that try to shake us with, "Not my will, but Your will be done." This is your wake-up call! It's time to get some work done. Are you going to answer the call?
We love you!
